Blue or white smoke from exhaust

Why Kia Dealers Deny Forte Warranty Claims
These are the most common denial tactics — and why each one can be challenged.
"Normal oil consumption" — Consuming more than 1 quart per 1,000 miles is NOT normal. Kia's own service bulletins acknowledge this as a defect in the Nu engine.
"No maintenance records" — The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protects you. Kia must prove missing records caused the failure, not just that records are absent.
"Outside warranty period" — If your Forte has a documented Nu engine defect, NHTSA recall campaigns may apply regardless of age or mileage.
"Aftermarket parts used" — Kia must prove the aftermarket part caused the failure, not just that it was installed.
"Driver abuse" — Engine bearing failure and oil ring defects are manufacturing issues, not driver-caused damage.
